May 21st 2011, Indonesian Echo Society with GE Healthcare and Fondaco initiate an event called “FOCUSED ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY ASSESSMENT FOR ; New Pocket-sized Visualization Tool”. This event was held to introduce GE’s Vscan to the Cardiologist.

Almost 30 participants came to PERKI House Jakarta, some of them from out of Jakarta, such as Surabaya, Medan, Bandung, Makassar and Samarinda. The speakers mostly talked about how to do a quick echo in emergency cases and how to apply Vscan to patients, when needed to do the quick echo checks.

All participants agreed that Vscan is very useful for  quick look and eyeballing for Cardiologists. By having Vscan, doctors can simply scan the patients and if necessary they can send the patient for advanced echo examination. This will improve patient workflow in hospital or their own clinics.

During this event, all participants also do hands-on practice using Vscan. They scanned patients, and all participants show their interest to this new GE Healthcare device.
Hopefully this one-day Vscan workshop will give doctors a new choice in their jobs and also can help proceed a better diagnosis and also can improve hospital workflow.
